Sample Wedding Packages

Upon arrival, on the day of your wedding, our professional waiting staff will pamper you and your guests with a glass of bubbly and homemade scones, with whipped cream and jam served in our reception rooms or weather permitting on the terrace and gardens. Or, if you would prefer, how about a selection of our beautifully hand crafted canapes or a Victorian high tea of homemade bakewell tarts with raspberry jam, creamed scones, lemon tarts, smoked salmon on brown bread and cucumber sandwiches piled high on our pretty vintage cake stands and freshly brewed tea and coffee served in our beautiful vintage china. (NB. this option will incur a supplement)

Afterwards, you sit down to a delicious meal in the Ballroom Wing – the fire is lit, the fairy lights are twinkling and the long tables are laden down with crisp white linen, pretty garden flowers, tea lights and candles

If you would prefer to start with something a bit different, then a sharing platter of some of your favourite foods usually does the trick – choose from a selection of air dried Irish beef or lamb, rough country terrine, beetroot or red pepper hummus, olive tapenade, trout or mackerel pate- all served with freshly baked focaccia. Or if it is particularly hot outside, then start off with our favourite homemade Pea and mint soup or if it is winter time warm up your guests with our organic cream of parsnip and cider soup. Following this, our own wood fired Borris lamb served on a bed of buttery mash, red wine jus and puree organic root vegetables is always a winner. Or for hotter days, why not substitute the mash for fresh from the garden salads and potato Dauphinoise served in bowls and platters brought to the tables.

Dessert is everyone’s favourite and the choice is endless – how about warm gooey gluten free chocolate brownies or plum and almond tart with cream and freshly brewed tea and coffee – yummy!
