For the thrill seekers – try out an exciting canoeing trip along the Barrow and explore the beautiful unspoilt and exciting waterways. Or, take to the skies and try out hang-gliding and paragliding on Mount Leinster.
GO EXPLORE
Borris is a beautiful Georgian granite village, bursting with charm and heritage. Nestled in the fertile valley of the River Barrow and nearby Mount Leinster and Blackstairs Mountains, it is home to a range of outdoor pursuits.
Take in the stunning views with a walk along the spectacular 16 arch viaduct, situated at the lower end of the town, which once carried the now defunct Great Southern and Western Railway Line between Bagenalstown and Palace East in Co Wexford.
Take a leisurely stroll along the Barrow line and explore the Clashganny Forest Looped Walk which is only a five-minute drive from Borris House. Set out on a hike with a guided tour of Mount Leinster and the Blackstairs exploring all that this incredible landscape is home to.
